Garage doors in Dublin and central Georgia since 1994.
Our Story
Steve Dukes started this business in his backyard in 1994.
He was a firefighter with the City of Dublin Fire Department and stayed one for twenty years. He installed doors on his days off, put them together in the evenings, and spent whatever time was left driving the area looking for work and getting to know contractors.
He is self-taught.
Steve and Loretta have been married for nearly forty-eight years, and the business started in their backyard because that is where the family was. Eventually there was more work than a second job could hold, and he left the fire department for it.
It has grown the way it started, on word of mouth and on contractors who keep calling back. If Steve tells you he will be there, he is there.
Today it covers both sides of the trade. Residential doors and openers for homes across Dublin and Laurens County, and commercial and industrial work for contractors, warehouses and plants.
The Family
Steve and Loretta were both raised in Dublin.
They had two sons. Nicholas, born in 1979, and Brandon, born in 1980. Both had Cystic Fibrosis. Brandon died in 1998 and Nicholas in 2010.
For thirty-nine years the family has supported the Cystic Fibrosis golf tournament in Dublin. They still do, and they support the local schools as well.
What we sell and why
CHI is the line we have built the business on, for residential and commercial doors, with LiftMaster openers. For commercial and industrial work we handle Rytec high-speed doors, DBCI roll-up and sheet doors, and Pioneer dock equipment.
We work on doors regardless of who installed them.
